Eucalyptus deglupta - "Rainbow Eucalyptus" | | Prince of Palms is the premier grower in Europe of the elusive, and much admired, Eucalyptus deglupta. This fast-growing, tropical species from the forests of Papua New Guinea, is noted for its peeling bark revealing a rainbow of colours. Plant it out in a frost-free garden or alternatively, grow it as a pot plant in a conservatory. Full sun, and constantly moist soil are its requirements, and despite being an equatorial species, Eucalyptus deglupta is surprisingly cold-tolerant. In 2010 we will have a number of young trees available in 6 litre grow bags, as well as seedlings in various sizes, starting at 4.75 EUR each, up to 6.95 EUR for a 40 cm tree-pot sapling (shown below). |
